Summer Ball 2024 - Summer 2024

Elk Grove Youth Baseball will once again host summer baseball starting August 5, 2024 through August 31, 2024.  (Registration will run until 5pm July 13, 2024 or until full whichever comes first)

4 Divisions (***ages as of 4/30/25***)

  • 11/12 year old players – 50/70 field
  • 9/10 year old players – 46/65 field 
  • 7/8 year old players – 43/60 field
  • 4-6 year old players - Temp grass fields and Coach Pitch

Registration fees:

  • 8U-12U = $200.00 per player - 3 Games Per Week for 4 weeks (Total of 12 games, no practice)
  • 4-6 year olds = $100 per player - 2 games per week for 4 weeks (Total of 8 games, no practices)

Game Days:

  • 12U - Mon/Wed/Fri @ 6pm
  • 10U - Mon/Wed/Fri @ 6pm
  • 8U - Tue/Thur @6pm /Sat @ 9am or 11am (9am games unless we have too many teams to not have a second start time)
  • 6U - Tue @ 6pm/Sat @ 9am or 11am (9am games unless we have too many teams to not have a second start time)

**Game days subject to change prior to start of season based on number of registrants. Days will not change once season starts**

There are no residency boundaries for summer ball. All Players are welcome.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • When will I know what team I am on?: Teams will not be formed until after registration has closed. Once teams are formed parents will be notified
  • Will there be practices?: No. The Summerball program is a 3 game a week (except 6U) program with no practices. It is designed to give players a feel for what their next Spring season will look like.
  • Why is there no offering showing?: Please pay attention to the Age As Of Date. The players playing age is determined by the actual age they will be on 4/30/2025. If you player turns 13 prior to 4/30/25 they are too old for this program
  • Can I request a specific Coach?: Yes. The Summerball program allows for players of all ages to specify, if they wish, a specific coach to play for.
  • Can I play on the same team as my friend: Yes. There is no tryout/draft process for the Summerball program. Players are placed on teams based on preference and then randomly.
  • Do I have to live in EGYB boundaries?: No. There are no boundaries for the EGYB Summerball Program. The season is open to anyone.
  • Can I keep my entire team?: Yes. Summerball program allows for coaches to keep intact in entire team if they wish. Just list all players you want on your roster during registration.
  • When are Try-Outs?: There are no try-outs for the Summer Ball program. Teams are formed based primarily on Coach Requests, school attended and address.
