Effective Monday (1/23) at 12:01 A.M., all player ages 8 through 14 enrolling after this date and time will go on a stand-by list. You will be notified prior to Friday (1/27) if a slot is available in your specific age group and if notified that you have been slotted, you will be required to attend the next try-out, with payment, which is scheduled for Saturday 1/28. We are doing our best to accommodate all players, unfortunately we do not have enough coaches at this time.

Try-outs will be held on Saturday, January 28th / Make-up dates will be posted if a rain-out occurs
· Try-outs start at 11:00 A.M. - Players should be at the fields early to warm up
· Ages 7 and 8 will be held on Rau #2 (Middle field at Rau)
· Ages 9 and 10 will be held on Rau #1 (1st field to the left when walking in)
· Ages 11 and 12 will be held on Rau #3 (Field closest to the snack bar)
· Ages 13 and 14 will be held at Amundson Park which is located at 8730 Heritage Drive (1st light north of Rau Park, make right and field is on left about ¼ mile in)
No need to check in for try-outs this year (each player will be asked their name and announced to the coaching groups)
· At 10:45, all players need to line-up at the back of their designated 3rd base dugout. Board members will be present to ensure everyone is lined up correctly.
· Try-outs will consist of batting, base running, fielding and catching. Once a player has completed their try-out, they are free to go. Expect try-outs to last a few hours dependent on where you are in line.
· Be prepared for cool weather and in case of inclement weather, check our website for updated information
Raffle Ticket Information
· ALL PLAYERS regardless of age need to come to Rau Park on January 28th to pick up their raffle tickets and show birth certificate (if 1st time playing in league). NOTE: This includes all Rookie and Single A Players
- Players of Coaches DO NOT try-out – but still need to pick up their raffle tickets and show birth certificate (if applicable)
· Raffle ticket distribution will be set up on the Basketball court near the parking lot and open from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. |

Age Groups are determined by the players age as of 4/30/12. Note: 7 year olds may petition to the Player Agent to try out for the "AA" Division (if drafted to a AA team, there will be an additional $25.00 fee)
NEW PLAYERS ONLY: Please bring a copy of your birth certificate to one of the scheduled try-out dates. ALL new Rookie or A division player, must bring a copy of the birth certificate to Rau Park on 1/14 or 1/21.
All Competitive division players must try-out on 1/14/12 or 1/21/12.
Waitlist will start on 1/23/12 for competitive players only. There are no guarantees. Non-Competitive players will be placed on teams through 2/10/12. |  |

The deadline to register to be a Head Coach or an Assistant Coach has passed. Coaching slots will be filled on an 'as needed' basis.

IMPORTANT NOTE: a confirmation email will be sent to you stating you have registered to be a coach. If you did not receive that email, your registration is not complete.

| EGYB to host the Cal Ripken 11/70 Regional in 2012 |  |

Elk Grove Youth Baseball has been selected to host the Pacific Southwest 11/70 Regional tournament for 2012. Teams from Utah, Arizona, Nevada, Southern Cal, Central Cal and Northern Cal will participate in this tournament. The tournament will be played in late July. |
